Julia Brody-Barre (She/Her) (2023) is a psychology and music double major in the class of 2023. She joined Morawski’s lab in the summer of 2021 refining and implementing a coding system for use in over 2,000 open-ended surveys collected by the American Psychological Association in 1968 to investigate the nuanced social exchanges of the psychology laboratory environment. She hopes to unite her academic interests to examine dynamic social worlds using a lens of feminist, gender, and sexuality studies, especially to study processes of human musical activities.

Alexa Jablonski (She/Her) (2022)

Gunter Haug-Pavlak (He/Him) (2022) is a Psychology and SISP double major and has been a member of Professor Morawski’s lab since the Spring of 2022. He works with Professor Perez and Professor Carney as well (2021). He enjoys being outside in the sun, either boarding, biking, swimming, kayaking and especially skiing. The field of psychology Post World War II is his favorite to study for ethics development in psychology.

Jalen Lee (He/Him) (2023) is a Psychology and Music double major in the class of 2023. His interests in psychology revolve around the intersection of psychology with history and philosophy. His primary work in the lab has been to help develop a college course curriculum focused on the history of racist scientific practices and how to ensure antiracist practices going forward. Outside of psychology, Jalen has an interest in sound engineering, sound design, and music production. He works part time as the sound designer for Oombly Interactive, and is a sound engineer for Redfeather music studio (the student-run recording studio at Wesleyan University).

Erin Bryne (She/Her) (2024) is a Science in Society and Psychology major, and Data Analysis minor. Currently she is also a research fellow for the College of the Environment. In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors. She also likes to ice skate and participates in stand up comedy through clubs at Wesleyan.

Michelle Kim (She/Her) (2025) is a prospective Psychology and College of East Studies double major. She joined Prof. Morawski’s research collective to further investigate racist psychology and avenues for social justice in science. She is passionate about DEI and interested in the interaction of epistemology and culture. Aside from working with Prof. Morawski, Michelle is on the board of the Korean Students Association and is actively involved with planning and carrying out cultural events and promoting Korean culture at Wes. She is also involved with advocating for an Asian American Studies minor at Wes through the Asian American Student Collective.

Andy Lisheng (any pronouns) (2025) is a prospective College of Letters and Science in Society double major. He is involved in Morawski’s lab seminar on race and psychology, the development of an anti-racist critique of psychological science, and APA ethics survey coding. They are also deeply interested in intersections of queer theory, critical theory, sociology and psychology (virtuality, affect theory, other humanities).
